Covered California 2027
Covered California Bronze Plans 2027
Affordable Health Insurance with Lower Monthly Premiums
Covered California Bronze Plans are designed for individuals and families looking for lower monthly health insurance premiums while maintaining access to essential medical benefits. Bronze plans generally have higher deductibles and out-of-pocket costs than Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans.
These plans may be a good option for people who are generally healthy, visit the doctor less frequently, and want financial protection against unexpected medical expenses. Standard Bronze benefits are not identical to Bronze HDHP benefits. Compare both designs before you enroll.
Bronze Plan Highlights
- 60% coverage level. Insurance pays approximately 60% of covered healthcare costs on average across a standard population.
- $0 preventive care. Eligible in-network preventive services are covered without cost sharing.
- Pre-existing conditions covered. Coverage cannot be denied because of pre-existing medical conditions.
- Doctor visits. The first three non-preventive office visits are available before meeting the medical deductible, with applicable copays.
- Children's dental and vision. Pediatric dental and vision benefits are included. Some services have applicable cost sharing.
